PRE-FALL - Louis Vuitton

(Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2012)

I don't think I've ever felt so passionately about Louis Vuitton in the past (except for the handcuff bracelet last fall).  But this pre-fall, let's me count the many ways that I love this collection:

I love the fur ankle boots
I love the leather leggings with side zippers
I love the contrast colour pocket fox vest
I love the yellow dress with mink peter pan collar
I love the yellow steal cap toe pumps
I love the nude leather jacket with fox details

Love from North Africa

(Pamela Love Spring 2012)

After two years of lusting over the Pamela Love Claw cuff, I've been following her every single collection since.  This spring, her presentation featured a North African/Morrocan theme.  Still true to her tribal aesthetics, she added splash of deep greens & blues.  Even the venue had a desert atmosphere with Persian rugs and pillows with a low dim light giving an exotic glow!

SHOPPING - NanoCare

(Panasonic EH-NA30 Nanocare Hair Dryer)

Since moving here to Shanghai, I have been borrowing my friend's hairdryer due to the simple fact that my hubby (no, it's not my fault) forgot to buy a 110V/220V converter.  Unable to live without a decent hairdryer (I have an equal obsession of hair as for lashes), I went out in search of a new beloved and trusted friend that can transform my flat hair to Victoria's Secret bombshell!

I was quickly recommended the newest technology of NanoCare by Panasonic, which is "World's firs hair dryer with hair treatment effect, which helps to remove excess sebum, protect hair cuticle and moisturize hair".

SOLD!

I figured that I'm already in love with my Clarisonic facial brush and Sonicare toothbrush, I might as well Nanocare a try.  After a week of using it, I'm in love!  My hair is voluminous, soft and glossy.  And the best part: my scalp seems less itchy (i.e. less scratching = no flakes)!!!

Now, my only complaint is that it does not have dual voltage option...well, I guess I'll get some use of my old hair dryer then!

Nude & Sensual

(Gestuz Spring 2012 Campaign)

How can neutral basics look so sensual?  The new spring '12 campaign of Gestuz makes me want to wear nothing other than jersey and leather (which is kinda already uniform since pregnancy).

SHOE PORN - Balenciaga

(Balenciaga S/S 2012)

Part architectural genius, part abstract art.  We can always count on Balenciaga to bring some Shoe Porn!!!

The Curious Case of Dry Shampoo

(Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo)

(Batiste Dry Shampoo)

(Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo)

(Lush Candy Fluff powder)

(Baby Powder)

Have you ever tried dry shampoo?  I still remember my first encounter was when I was 25 and had the misfortune of going through a major surgery.  As the Chinese believe, one should not bath/shower for a whole month after surgery or giving birth to avoid "wind" going in through the pores.  I don't fully understand the anatomy of it all, but it is to believe that one heals faster and can avoid some illness at older age.

Anyways, while I tried to resist showering for a whole week, my scalp was getting itchy and oily...that's when I decided to give dry shampoo a try!  Honestly, other than adding a fragrant scent to my hair, I didn't feel refreshed at all...I was disappointed!  So what should one expect from dry shampoo anyways?

But reading "Backstage Beauty" articles, I noticed that many hairstylist are prepping the models with dry shampoo to freshen up and add texture before styling.  In forms of foam, spray and powder, it promise to extend the life of a blow-dry (at the price of what some master stylist charges, I'd be extending every minute possible).  Should I give it another try?

Stolen Girlfriends Club

(Stolen Girlfriends Club A/W 2012 Campaign)

I recently discovered Stolen Girlfriends Club and was immediately intrigued from the ironic name.  Let's just make it out in the open that I love fashion!  But I what I love even more is designers who can make fun of the fashion industry (remember Karl Lagerfeld with his "Karl who?" campaign?).

Anyways, looking from the Stolen Girlfriends Club's fall/winter '12 campaign, we can see the sexy kitten/rock star attitude of the line.  I'm so in need of a sheer lace maxi dress after seeing these pictures...Don't worry, I'm already equipped with bandeau bra top, high waist undies and wedge boots!

COUTURE SPRING '12 - Givenchy

(Givenchy Haute Couture Spring 2012)

With only 10 looks, I must admit that I am slightly disappointed...Not because each and every piece was not up to my couture expectation, but rather because I felt like it is a sign that the couture is a dying form of art at the House of Givenchy!

Like most, I can only afford to drool over the picture of the presentation (not even the honour to feel in person).  However, I truly believe that it is couture that inspire the RTW collections.

Leaving my sad thoughts aside, I AM IN TOTAL LOVE LOVE LOVE with the white long sleeve backless gown (1 & 2 pics)!!!  I don't recall the last time I felt so strongly about a gown!  And oversized earrings were brought to a whole new level!  Admit that I love the drama, I really wonder how much they weight?
